Emergency Closing at Slippery
Rock
Community Library
Slippery Rock Community Library will be closed Tuesday, June
30. Work is being done on a broken water line that will
necessitate closing the entire recreation center. The library
will open as usual on Thursday, July 2 at 2PM.

Downloadable Format Beginning May 27, 2009, downloadable audiobooks that are compatible
with iods and iphones are available from the free audio
book downloads icon from this page. Note the icons that
tell you which titles are available in the different formats. |

Summer Reading Programs
All of the libraries
are starting their summer reading programs and activities in
June. Kids who read during the summer will do better in
school in the fall. They won't have to spend as much time
refreshing their skills from the previous year. |

Happy Hour at the Library
Beginning June 4, 2009, all Butler
County public libraries will be hosting "Happy Hour" from 5:00
to 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays, only. All overdue items that are returned to the
library or its book return during that hour will be fine-free.
