BOOK CLUB PIC

 

Our BOOK CLUB meets at the library every second Monday of the month at 8 p.m.  The book being discussed May 12th is Reading My Father by Alexandra Styron.  The Book Shop by Penelope Fitzgerald will be discussed on June 9th.  The book club will return again in September after a brief summer hiatus.  Please call for details.

Summer Reading 2014

Readers of all ages will explore all things science this summer as Prospect Community Library presents “Fizz, Boom, Read!”.  Activities will include science experiments, story times, a LEGO competition, and programs brought to you by the Carnegie Science Center, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, and Skye’s Spirit.

Registration for “Fizz, Boom, Read!” will kick-off on June 20th from 11a.m.-1p.m. with our annual Ice Cream Social.  For more information, call the library at (724)865-9718 or visit us on Facebook.

Overdrive e-resources

eBooks & eAudiobooks

 

Prospect Community Library has expanded its services with audiobooks and eBooks available to download from the library’s website.  Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting the following link:  http://lamb.lib.overdrive.com.

Users may browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac, and many mobile devices.  Users will need to install free software.  For audiobooks: OverDrive Media Consol.  To read eBooks, users will need Adobe Digital Editions.  Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including Kindle, Nook, iPod, Sony Reader, and many others.  Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go.  Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period.  There are no late fees!

You may now renew/purchase your dog license(s) at Prospect Community Library.  Licenses for 2013 are currently being sold.
