Do you love Mars Library as much as we
do? Consider becoming a Friend!
The Friends of Mars Area Public Library
is a volunteer non-profit organization
that was organized in 1981 to support
the needs of Mars Library. Our
dedicated Friends provide essential
assistance to the library by
coordinating and participating in book
sales, raffles, and other fundraisers;
purchasing materials and equipment not
provided by the library budget; and
assisting us with special events and
programs. This year, a portion of the
funds raised by the Friends will be used
to acquire furniture and other items
needed for our upcoming building
expansion.
The
Friends meet four times per year at the
library, and meeting announcements will
be posted on our web site. If you would
like to join our Friends organization,
please complete and mail a
membership form
with an enclosed check to:

dedication and efforts of its Friends.
We hope you will consider becoming a
Friend of the Library!

A TASTE OF MARS
In 2006, our Friends created a beautiful
cookbook called A Taste of Mars,
which is now available for purchase at
the library for $9.00. These cookbooks
make great gifts for Christmas,
birthdays, or Mother’s Day, and the
proceeds benefit Mars Library!
Cookbooks are on sale at the Library or
at Foodland on Grand Avenue in Mars. To
purchase a copy by mail, please send a
check made payable to Friends of Mars
Area Public Library in the amount of
$11.50, which includes $2.50 for
shipping. Checks can be mailed to
