The
Cranberry Public Library adheres to the Butler
County Federated Library System's Circulation
Policy. The following lists some of the parts that
might be useful to the patron. For more complete
information, please click on BCFLS Circulation
Policy.
Check out periods:
2 weeks - Books, audio tapes and CDs
1 week - Vertical files, magazines, tape players,
cameras, and special assignment materials
3 nights - Videos and DVDs
By reservation - Filmstrip, slide and overhead
projectors, video player
A total of 25 items may be taken out at one time.
A Pennsylvania driver's license or identification
with a current address is required in order to
obtain a library card. There is no age limit for a
card holder, but those under 18 must have an on-site
parent/guardian signature.
Free membership is offered to residents of Butler
County or to the bearer of a current library card
from an Access PA member library. Other non-resident
memberships are available for $20 per year.
A replacement library card costs $2.50.
All videos and DVDs are free of charge.
Fines on overdue videos, DVDs, and audio-visual
equipment are $1 per day. Fines on books, audiotapes
and other overdue items are 25 cents per item per
day for each day that the library is open. No fine
shall exceed the replacement cost of the overdue
item.
The library acts as an agent for the Butler County
Treasurer's Office for the sale of dog licenses from
January through October. Licenses per calendar year
are $8.50 or $6.50 if your pet is spayed or
neutered. Senior citizens may obtain the dog license
for a reduced fee of $6.50 or $4.50 if the dog is
spayed or neutered.
